Evaluating the Influence of Aerobic Exercise on Body Composition in Adolescents: A Systematic Review
Abstract:
Aerobic exercise is beneficial for adolescents, according to studies. There is still little precise data, though, for young people and adolescents. This study’s objective was to thoroughly examine and compile the most recent data regarding how aerobic exercise impacts adolescents’ body composition. Google Scholar, PubMed, Mendeley, Web of Science, SCIndeks, Science Direct, and KOBSON databases were searched to find relevant information. Studies published between 2011 and April 2026, longitudinal design, English language, participants between the ages of 10 and 20, and results pertaining to body composition were the inclusion criteria. Sixteen papers in all satisfied the eligibility criteria and were incorporated into the final analysis. The results consistently show that aerobic exercise improves pupils’ body composition. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the impact of aerobic exercise in modifying body composition among student populations and offer a helpful platform for future research.
